Provide specialized speech-language pathology services in K-12 school settings, supporting students communication and language development. This full-time contract role is based in Punta Gorda, FL, with potential assignments across multiple schools primarily within the East Zone of Fort Myers. The position runs from January 5, 2026, through June 1, 2026, offering flexibility with full-time and potential part-time options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and monitor student progress
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (if applicable) according to licensure requirements
- Maintain detailed records and comply with all regulatory standards and documentation requirements
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or state licensure in speech-language pathology
- Credentials as Speech-Language Pathologist Certified Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF)
- Experience working within school environments preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple school sites
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
